The Tel-Line Assistant FED (Far End device) is an accessory device to be used with a TS-44/52, Dynatel 965DSP, JDSU/HST-3000, Copper Pro, or a SidekickPlus Test Set. The Test Set is activated through DTMF signaling. When used with the resistive fault locating test sets, cable pairs can be pre-qualified for DSL, ADSL, HDSL, and VDSL. Test include Loop Resistance, (Shorts tip and ring) Resistive Balance (Shorts tip and ring to ground) Single tone 1007Hz (Installers tone) and Open line. Features also include "Awake from sleep mode" and turning tone back on and off for tracing transpositions. Device can be used in any Telco twisted pair application from the central office to the serving terminal. The Tel-Line Assistant features activated relay technology to test POTS circuits with a Butt Set, not requiring the support of a second technician! Works with most RFL test sets.
